Rock 'n' Roll
1950s format: blues–country–R&B compressed into three-minute singles.
Rock 'n' Roll merges Blues, Country, and R&B into short, danceable records aimed at teens. It sets the guitar–bass–drums band as a youth product and hands the British Invasion a reusable song and riff vocabulary.
