Hub

Constant across Ozzy, Dio, and reunion Sabbath: finger injury → lighter strings → heavy riff as institutional spine.

Born 1948, Birmingham. Industrial accident cost fingertips; lighter gauge and downtuning feed Paranoid-era riffs (Iron Man, War Pigs). Ozzy-era Sabbath (1970–78) sets the citation albums; Dio-era Heaven and Hell (1980) keeps Iommi’s riff center under a different singer. Hub is continuity: vocalists and eras change; the guitar method does not. Late reunions still cite the same tritone/power-chord vocabulary.
