Hub

VU drone/harmony architect who becomes a mobile producer: method travels off the band logo.

Born 1942, Wales. In early VU, viola drones, piano clusters, and arrangement tension sit beside Reed’s songs (Venus in Furs, Heroin). Leaves 1968 after White Light/White Heat pressure. Solo and production work follows—Nico, The Stooges (as producer credit lore), and later indie/art acts cite his arranging ear. Hub: first-principles VU noise/harmony, then institutional role as producer outside the band.
