Three careers, one room

Homme, Grohl, and Jones record in Los Angeles after years of mutual guest spots. No audition—three established players, one album contract. Homme produces; Grohl drums; Jones plays bass and adds Mellotron/keys where arrangement needs density. Them Crooked Vultures (2009) is the only studio LP—deliberate short run.

Self-titled album mechanics

Mind Eraser, No Chaser splits lead vocal between Homme and Grohl—no frontman hierarchy. No One Loves Me & Neither Do I uses Jones keyboard stabs like Zeppelin's No Quarter texture. Mix stays dry and midrange-forward—QOTSA desert production with Zeppelin arrangement density.

Tour and silence

Band tours Europe and US in 2010—live sets extend album tracks with jam middle sections. No second album follows; members return to Foo Fighters, QOTSA, and Jones's session work. TCV functions as a personnel-bridge artifact: Zeppelin bass player meets Nirvana drummer meets desert-rock architect.

New Fang

Debut single—Homme riff, Grohl crash, Jones bass fill; supergroup as power trio.

05 / 06

Mind Eraser, No Chaser

Grohl lead vocal trade-off—Foo + QOTSA + Zeppelin syntax in one track.

06 / 06

Scumbag Blues

Blues-rock slow burn—Jones keys under Homme's low vocal.
