Alt-metal group led by Chino Moreno; Change and Digitized atmospheres bridge metal and shoegaze listeners.

Formed 1988. Adrenaline and Around the Fur hit 1990s heavy radio; White Pony (2000) widened the palette—trip-hop tempos, layered vocals, Stephen Carpenter’s low tunings against Moreno’s clean/scream split. Change (In the House of Flies) (2000) is the crossover single. Later records keep the dual audience: metal festival stages and indie/shoegaze playlists.
