Piano and delay on alternative radio
Yellow and Clocks use Buckland’s dotted-delay guitar, Martin’s falsetto, and a steady Berryman/Champion pulse. Lyrics sit at mid-tempo; the guitar parts stay clearer than shoegaze wash. A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002) fixed that writing before the Eno-era albums widened the palette.

Martin, Buckland, and Berryman formed the group; Champion joined on drums in 1997. The same four names appear from Parachutes through later stadium tours. Live shows add keyboardists; primary writing remains Martin and Buckland. Pectoralz and Starfish are the names before Coldplay. Eno produces Viva la Vida and Mylo Xyloto. The Satriani claim is the publishing node on the title song.
