Stable band lineup can still host a person who branches into parallel projects.

Born 1968. Radiohead’s uneasy vocal center from Pablo Honey through experimental eras. Solo (The Eraser) and Atoms for Peace show electronic/jazz-adjacent work without dissolving the main band. Third pattern beside Ozzy (fired-and-solo) and Grohl (drummer-to-frontman): parallel selves.
