Scottish crescendo rock; Auto Rock shows piano-led build without vocals.

Formed 1995. Early Chemikal Underground/Matador-era records used volume as structure—long clean passages, sudden distortion walls, occasional spoken samples. Auto Rock (2006, from Mr Beast) is a compact example of piano motif into full-band swell. They parallel Explosions in the Sky/Godspeed with a drier Scottish indie infrastructure and more soundtrack commissions.
